Hot Toddy and Matcha Latte

Inspiring yoga teacher and wellness advocate Bri Manglapus shares with Grounded her Hot Toddy recipe, your new favorite drink to lift your spirits when you feel out of balance. This cup of tea is perfect for winding down in the evenings but still wanting that kick of alcohol to. You can drink this to help soothe your throat when it’s feeling sore. 

Hot Toddy

  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 bag of chamomile tea / loose tea leaves will do
  • 1 lemon wedge
  • Honey
  • 1-3 shots of bourbon (if you have no bourbon replace with scotch of choice)

Prepare the water and steep with tea. Squeeze in the lemon and add honey to taste. Mix in 1-3 shots of bourbon and enjoy your night cap!

This next one is our favorite green latte, perfect in the morning if you prefer a cleaner high than coffee without a crash, or in the afternoon if you need a pick-me up.

 

Matcha Latte

  • 3 tbsp of hot water
  • 3 tsp of matcha
  • Honey to taste
  • Milk of choice

Prepare bowl and whish, add in 3 tsp on matcha. Pour 3 tbsp pf hot water, whisk from right to left. Add honey to taste and whisk again. Prepare a glass with ice and milk of choice. Pour matcha, and wala!
